Raw Fish

First thing's first; I signed the lease for our house in Vegas for the summer on Monday. It's a nice 4 BR, 3 BA house in Henderson. We booked the house for May 17-July 31 and will have two bedrooms that are available during most of that time, so if you're interested then hit me up and we'll discuss it. I'm so pumped to finally get this taken care of and can't wait for the summer!

Also, Nfuego and I finally decided when we are going to leave for our trip out West. We're going to head out next Wednesday, staying a night in St. Louis, then heading to Kansas City for a few nights. From there we're off to Vegas and our plans are unknown. I've been looking up a bunch of stuff online for the trip like hotels/events/places to go, but I have ADD so bad that I can only stand doing that for like 20 minutes before I get bored and move on to something else. I have a feeling this is going to be a classic roadtrip where we go wherever, whenever.

Yesterday Veronica and I were supposed to go out to eat and she told me in the morning she wanted to get sushi. Sushi, as in raw fish? I was scared. I mean I just started eating COOKED fish a few months ago thanks to her, and now she wants me to eat RAW fish? A little background on me, several months ago I thought I didn't like certain foods, although I had never really given them a chance. This list includes shrimp, fish, lobster, crab, and sweet potatoes. Veronica introduced me to all of these and I found out quickly that I've been missing out on a lot of really good food all my life. Sushi was no exception. We went to a sushi bar in downtown Indy and tried 4 different kinds of sushi...unfortunately I don't have a clue what kind they were...the first one they brought was on fire, which was a cool presentation. After she gave me a quick crash course on how to use chopsticks, I dove right in. Btw, I suck at using chopsticks and she was giggling at me the entire time to my dismay. Anyway, it was really spicy, but really good! Then they brought out the rest of our order and I'm sitting there thinking "Can we really eat all this?" We did though, although I felt like I was going to blow up afterward. She also ordered some kind of soup that was like a mixture of tofu and seaweed, which surprisingly tasted good as well. Overall, I was quite pleased with everything, and can't wait to hit up some of the sushi bars in Vegas.

When I got home I decided to play poker which was a moronic thing to do. I was very tired and should've just went to sleep, but I wanted to stay up all night to make sure I made it in to basketball in the morning so I figured I'd just pass my time with some poker. Here's how that went:
In the beginning I was timing out all over the place because my reactions were slowed from being so tired. I knew I shouldn't have been playing yet I continued anyway, which is something I don't normally do. I think that I just got too cocky thinking I'm good enough to beat the games playing what was probably my "C" game. Lesson learned. I did make it in to basketball, but I think I pulled a muscle in my ass while playing. I have no clue what I did...I remember lunging for a loose ball and then on the next trip down the court I could hardly run because my right ass cheek and hamstring were so tight. I had to sub out and stretch it for a while before I was able to play again, and then it was ok, but right now it still hurts. Alright I'm going back to sleep since I just woke up from hunger but am still super tired. Peace.

Sushi is the nuts in terms of taste and healthiness. Not so good in terms of cost or hunger elimination factor.

Lack of sleep effects the nervous system and makes you more prone to muscle pulls. Don't try all-nighters as you get older!
